Jacob saw how God fought his battle....
The enemy who wanted to harm him wasn't given permission to do so....
It wasn't by his strength or skill he was protected....
It was the hand of God that protected him from destruction....
After seeing the hand of God...
After experiencing his love....
He still depends on his strength....
Like Jacob, do you easily forget what God did to you in the past?
Genesis 32:20
And you shall say, 'Moreover, your servant Jacob is behind us.'" For he thought, "I may appease him with the present that goes ahead of me, and afterward I shall see his face. Perhaps he will accept me.
